Indian Anime Movement

Large glistening eyes, brightly colored hair, obscure nose, and exaggerated facial expression remind me of only one thing. Guess what?
Alright, it’s Anime.
Anime has played a very important role in everyone’s life. Anime gave us so many life lessons, we loved, we cried, we laughed, we smiled, all because of anime.
Even though we have such feelings for anime and so many Otakus around us, Why no anime airs in our country, why no anime movie gets licensed to air in India,
why our country lacks anime culture? Well, because there is no official anime community, that represents all the Otakus in the country. People create small anime groups but in the end, they give up because they have no such powers to spread the message to each and every Otaku living in India.

We, “Indian Anime Movement” have come up with an Idea to form up all Otakus. And we need your support. Our sponsors have promised us that if we have enough otakus gathered up then we can have our own “Anime Meetups” in India. Also, If we have a community of our own, movies like “Weathering With You” would never need a petition to air in India.
If there are enough members in the community, we assure you, all popular anime movies will air in India, with anime meetups throughout the country in all possible states, not just the main ones (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad). We will arrange quizzes, drawing competitions, anime contests every month to stay in touch with you, winners will get cool anime goodies (anime tee of your favorite anime, anime figure of your favorite anime character)

Recently, We had a chat with the guy who created the petition for Weathering with you, Divishth Pancholi who goes by the name Daniel Jackson. He shares exactly the same thought as all of us does. That there should be anime in India and we must do whatever it takes to create a community. Indian Anime YouTubers are doing A GREAT JOB in binding the community together but even they can’t do much, and the reason is, we have no official community that represents anime. Popular YouTubers like Anime Mirchi and AnimeTM Dubbers has done a great job in bringing the community together but even they can’t do much, and the reason is, we have no official community that represents anime. Other popular YouTubers who goes by the name, Dragon Hindi X, Negus Saiyan and Saiyan Londa have also done a magnificent job in gathering them Dragon Ball fans, and they indeed are a gift to our Indian Anime Community. Other new but hardworking Youtubers like KnowSenpai have done a decent job in spreading awareness about anime too, and they indeed have done a great job in gathering most of the Indian otakus without earning a single penny from what they do.

Other popular content creators did a lot for the Indian Anime community, most of us may not know him, but KenXyro the popular translator is also an indian. And, he did a huge part in bringing the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie to India, just like Faran, the creator of one of the most popular Dragon Ball anime based channel, Whixer. The Official website of Tamil Fandom, And Instagram page of Tamil Anime Fans also did huge promotion of the petition and are still trying to bring the anime culture to our country.

Popular cosplayers like, Akanksha Solanki and other cosplayers like Aorin, Akansha Sachhan, and Koko cosplay captured the interest of otakus worldwide on the internet, and they belong to the same country as we do, such popular Cosplayers from a country where there is no anime. Even Crunchyroll is not officially available in our country(completely). Most of the anime is banned in our country and no one knows the reason, according to Crunchyroll’s latest post, they have #4 most number of fans from India following their Instagram page. Let me state some facts here, India is one of the wealthiest countries in the world (rank varies time to time) When I last checked, India was #3 out of 181 in financial stability. And Anime producers still think it will be a loss for them to bring movies to India. Okay, let me be honest here. Yes, I agree we watch anime illegally, yes I agree we have to read mangas illegally on non-licensed websites, and everyone knows the reason why? The reason is we do not have access to all these officially, and we otakus can do anything to watch our favorite anime and read our favorite manga, if not given the option we have no other choice but to watch it illegally on unofficial anime streaming websites. And, there is one thing I personally can assure the official anime streaming websites with, we support and love anime it’s just we don’t show it off. And if we were to show it off, your accounts would be flooded with messages, mentions, and tweets. Anime is fun for us, but it’s business for their creators, why do you think there are no plans to air anime in India, why is Crunchyroll not official in India? Well, the reason here is, they think we do not have much anime fans. All of us know they are wrong, except for them. Let us make them realize they are wrong. Let all of us gather at one place and create an INDIAN ANIME COMMUNITY. Why do you think there are no plans to air anime in India, why is Crunchyroll not official in India. Well, the reason here is, they think we do not have much anime fans. I did my part, Do your part. Do not Ignore it, It will take 5 seconds to share the idea of creating a community with all your Otaku friends. Be a part of this revolution and BRING ANIME TO INDIA!

If you think you have anything you can help us in creating the community with, you can let us know. We are replying to each and every text we get from you guys.
After reading what we have to say if there is still anything that you doubts us on? You can send us a text. If you wanna know why are we doing this then the answer is simple.
Why are we doing it? Because no one did it, and those who did it had no plan/supporters. And doing this was a must. We are always whining about anime not airing in India, about official websites banning most of the anime in our
country, but are we doing something about it?
In the past? NO.
Now? YES.

Why do we think we will be able to do it? We are not doing this out of the blue. There is a team behind “Indian Anime Movement”, all of us met several times and had conversations regarding this since months, and finally, we took a step after planning everything. We gathered huge websites, huge anime stores, and convinced them to sponsor our plan. not just sponsor it but support us with everything they’ve got.
Instead of joining any other community or creating your own, why would you join “Our community name”? Well, this is a one marker question to us. The answer is simple, we are not here to compete with any community, we are not here to do business either. We are here with a dream to do something great for the community. The sponsors agreed to support us because they wanted to do something for the community in the exact same way but they were too busy to make the plan live.
Why are we doing this? Any personal benefits? Yeah, we created a WhatsApp chat group for Otakus living in India. And, all of them are like a family to us now, and our family members want to watch anime without using VPN’s on official sites. They want popular anime movies in India too, they want Anime events in India too. So we are doing this for the sake of them, for the sake of our family. That’s what anime taught us.
Will we ever be able to do it? What if our plan fails? Our plan is complex and has a couple of plans to create a community but still, if all our plan gets failed then there’s one more thing anime taught us,
NEVER GIVE UP. no matter how hard the situation gets no matter what happens, never give up. If Goku can be a God, If Naruto can be a Hokage, If Luffy can be a Pirate King. then our goal is way easier. We just have to gather Indian otakus right? That’s the easiest possible thing. Why? Because we have you supporting us. The first one supporting us is not any company, website or store. It is you. We’ve personally seen the need of an Indian anime community in an Otaku. So, We roughly have an idea of how much you guys are planning to support us.

Each and every person mentioned in this blog post is not even related to us, they are not sponsoring us. We didn’t get paid for what we wrote. They are all heroes, the channels, the Instagram pages, the Cosplayers everyone did their best. If you think, there is someone who we missed, do let us know. Tag each and every person mentioned here. Let them know they deserve our respect for doing this much for the Indian Anime Community. Support us by using #IndiaWantsAnime in all your posts and tweets.
